About us

My name is Gabriela, and Maria Stitch Studio was inspired by my grandmother, Maria, who was a seamstress. Her love for sewing and the memories she left behind inspired me to create something that could keep the people we love close to our hearts.

I wanted to give my mum a gift that was meaningful and truly personal  something she could treasure forever. That was when I had the idea to create a little memory bear using the fabric from a cardigan that had belonged to my grandmother.

Seeing my mum’s reaction was one of the most beautiful and emotional moments for me. It made me realise just how powerful a simple piece of fabric can be when it carries the memory of someone we love.

That special moment inspired me to create Maria Stitch Studio, so that others can also turn treasured clothing and fabrics into something they can hold close to their hearts.

Every piece we create carries a story, a memory, and a little piece of someone special. My hope is that, through Maria Stitch Studio, those memories can be kept alive  lovingly stitched into something beautiful to cherish for years to come.
